Chiswick House

Chiswick House

The front fašade of Chiswick House, designed by the 3rd Earl of Burlington assisted by William Kent and constructed between 1726-9. The form derives from Palladio's Villa Capra near Vicenza and a statue of Palladio by Michael Rysbrack is situated on the left side of the house.

Now the house and gardens are owned by the London Borough of Hounslow and managed by English Heritage.

Drawn over the course of three hours on a glorious Good Friday afternoon. Despite a few pencil setup lines the perspective has gone slightly awry and the rustication is a little overdrawn.
